Outlook Express continues to resend messages after the original one failed and it is now stuck in your outbox. Has this happened to you? It is not a very common problem but it does happen. The fix is fairly simple and the cause is most likely a corrupt folder. Outlook Express continues to resend messages from the outbox when the outbox folder has become corrupt. This can also be caused by your email anti-virus program if it is set to scan outgoing emails.

The easiest way to fix it is to disable the outgoing mail scanning process in your anti-virus program. If that does not fix the problem then move on to the next suggestion. Which is to perform a search for outbox.dbx delete the outbox.dbx folder. When you reopen outlook express it will recreate a new outbox folder.
